Memories of Montego Bay Fiery Jerk Sauce

* * * * *
This is another one of my absolute favourite products from PC ever. I loooove (no, I mean loooove) spicy food and this is one of the best and wonderfully authentic jerk sauces I've ever tasted. And no I'm not Jamaican but as I said, I am a self-proclaimed spice expert and this definitely is comparable to what I've had at real Jamaican eateries.

Cranberry Raspberry Cocktail

* * * *
Had this at my in-laws' place today and it was so refreshing! I love cranberry drinks and adding the raspberry to it, plus the fact that this is one of PC's Blue Menu products just makes it tops for me.

Splendido Basil Pesto

* * * * *
This is an AWESOME product. I love pasta of all kinds and tend to make tomato-based pasta dishes but every now and then I crave a yummy pesto pasta and this is my easy, cheating way of doing it without having to make the pesto sauce from scratch. And really, why would you when this one tastes so darn good?

Vinaigrette - Toasted Sesame

* * * * *
I love experimenting with different types of dressings and this is one of my favourites. I keep meaning to make some sort of Asian salad and use this on it, but all I've used it for so far is tossing it with spaghetti, sauteed shrimp and green pepper. Oh, and I also mix in some red chili pepper flakes into the vinaigrette before tossing it with the pasta. Don't be fooled by the fact that this is a vinaigrette -- I have used this in a warm dish and can testify based on my dinner tonight that it is yum yum!!

Herbal Tea - Ginger Peach

* * * * *
Ahhhh... I love a cup of herbal tea on a cold winter's night. My ever-thoughtful hubby always makes sure we've got this in supply since it's absolute favourite flavour. Ginger and peach... what a soothing combo!

Veneto Pumpkin Triangoli

* * * * *
This is one of the most delightful tasting pastas out there. Egg pasta with a sweet tasting pumpkin filling makes this a perfect dish in the fall and winter months! Heck, with me being a pasta lover through and through, it's great in the summer and spring too!

Oatmeal Chocolate Chunk Cookies

* * * *
We got this as a treat after being out and about all day. I do love the big chunks of semi-sweet chocolate in this oatmeal cookie, but I have to say I do prefer soft cookies to crunchy ones. Still very scrumptious though and it won't be long until the whole package is gone!

Dark Chocolate Candy Cane Bark

* * * * *
$2.99
Yes, I am posting about another sweet treat from PC's 2008 Holiday product line. This is just too darn good not to mention. It is dark chocolate and candy cane bits mixed into one! I love dark chocolate and I love mint in chocolate so this was a no-brainer for me. Love love love this product. I hope they sell it year-round and not just at Xmas time!

Colossal Cocktail Shrimp

* * * * *
I love shrimp rings but these jumbo, no COLOSSAL shrimp are amazing. They taste so yummy with salsa too. A really cute presentation trick is to put some seafood sauce in a shot glass and put one shrimp into each glass.

Candy Cane Chocolate Fudge Crackle Ice Cream

* * * * *
Okay, after declaring in the previous post that I don't have much of a sweet tooth, here I am posting another one of PC's irresistible desserts. I remember my dad buying this when I was a kid and, even though I haven't had it in eons, it still remains one of my favourite ice cream flavours ever. Bits of peppermint candy and pieces of chocolate fuge crackle are mixed into vanilla ice cream to make this wonderful winter delight. Yum yum! You scream, I scream, we all scream for this awesome awesome ice cream.

Dulce de Leche Cheesecake

* * * *
$6.99
I wouldn't say I have a major sweet tooth but I do like desserts every now and then. This is simply one of those mouthwatering and delicious treats you just can't say "no" to. The caramel topping is an extra indulgence that's certainly worth an extra ten (or 30) minutes on the treadmill.

Our Best Ever Meat Lasagna

* * * * *
$14.99
This aptly-named lasagna has two different kinds of meat, sautéed rapini, six different cheeses, Italian-imported egg noodles, a tomato sauce and a creamy béchamel sauce...yum!! I had the pleasure of meeting Sita Kacker (the PC Chef & Product Developer in charge of this particular product) and she mentioned that to actually make this lasgana on its own with all the same ingredients would cost in the ballpark range of $65. Now, I ask you, would you pay 65 bucks to make a lasagna? "No way!" you say? Well luckily you don't have to! For only less than a quarter of that price, bring home this ready-made gourmet version, pop it in the oven and you're well on your way to a lasagna lover's paradise. Bon appétit!

Splendido Extra Virgin Olive Oil - Cold Pressed

* * * * *
If there’s one ingredient I find indispensable for my everyday cooking purposes, it would have to be olive oil. And this one is my favourite of them all. I use it on everything from sautéing onions and garlic, tossing pasta (to keep the noodles from sticking to one another), adding in salads with balsamic vinaigrette, drizzling onto bruschetta and more. A fragrant and splendid must-have for any home chef’s kitchen!

Wild Pacific Salmon Mini Wellingtons

* * * * *
$6.99 for package of 12
OMG, you have to try these. I sampled these delicious morsels of seafood goodness today and I was instantly transported to hors d'oeuvre heaven. (Haha! As I'm typing this, the commercial for the Mini Wellingtons with Galen Weston just came on!) Well I definitely have to agree with good ol' Galen. I mean, wild Pacific salmon in a yummy creamy dill sauce, all wrapped in a golden puff pastry...what's not to love?
